The body of a woman in her 60s was found at approximately noon in a residence on Beaumont Circle in Yonkers at approximately noon on Monday, Jan. 13, police said. A suspect has since been taken into custody for questioning.
According to police, no charges have been filed, and detectives are working to determine the nature of the dispute that led to the stabbing.
The incident is being actively investigated, though police noted that “there is no danger to the community” at this time.
More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
